Frequently asked questions...

What happens during a treatment?

The first treatment includes a thorough consultation to ensure the safe practice and use of the oils. It is important to be honest about your health and well-being to get the most out of your aromatherapy treatment. Subsequent treatments include a short consultation to refresh and update your information.

During the consultations, you are given the opportunity to smell some of the oils, to show your personal preferences and we discuss which oils would work well in a blend for you for that day and why.

You are then able to undress in private (to your underpants) and get onto the couch. Your privacy will be maintained at all times using towels and blankets as required.

What happens after the massage?

After the treatment you are given some time to relax before getting up from the couch and a refreshing glass of water with some homecare advice. You are also given an aftercare sheet which includes the details of the oils used in your treatment. There is an opportunity to request any skin care or home products to be made for you and the option of rebooking.

Am I guaranteed a treatment?

Unfortunately there are a very few cases where a treatment may not suitable due to medical contraindications. In these circumstances I will advise that you consult your doctor with regards to future appointments.

Are there any side effects of the treatment?

There are aftercare guidelines to follow post treatment and this is given to you at the end of your session.

You may notice that you feel tired or energised, have more frequent urination and bowel movement. Occasionally, a small number of people can suffer from headache, nausea, dizziness or temperature fluctuation as your body detoxifies.
